Netflix's Ray To Hotstar's Grahan, Here's A List Of Exciting OTT Releases Of The Week!



June provided us with some excellent stuff, ranging from the second season of Manoj Bajpayee's The Family Man 2 to Dhanush's Jagame Thandiram. Nonetheless, the month of June 2021 continues to be flooded with fresh and intriguing OTT releases for the viewers. Here's a rundown of the forthcoming OTT content that you can save to watch later in the weekend.

 

Ray: (Netflix, June 25)

 

Ray is an anthology series based on the short stories of the great Satyajit Ray. The show is one of the most anticipated additions to the OTT platform this week. Manoj Bajpayee, Kay Kay Menon, Ali Fazal, and Harshvardhan Kapoor will all star in the anthology series. Abhishek Chaubey, Srijit Mukherji, and Vasan Bala directed Ray. Gajraj Rao, Shweta Basu Prasad, Anindita Bose, Bidita Bag, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Radhika Madan, Chandan Roy Sanyal, and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor are among the other cast members.




 

 

Grahan: (24 June, Hotstar)

Grahan, a period drama web series, will premiere on the OTT platform this week. Its premise is based on the 1984 Bokaro riots in Jharkhand. The series is a fictitious drama set amid the true events of India's political chronology, based on Satya Vyas' novel "Chaurasi." Ranchi state reopened the case files of the 1984 riots in 2016. Anshuman Pushkar, Wamiqa Gabbi, Pavan Malhotra, and Zoya Hussain appear in the series, which is based on the Jamtara series.




 

 

Dhoop Ki Deewar: (Zee5, June 25)

Dhoop Ki Deewar is a Pakistani drama series that focuses on the concept of peace between the neighboring countries of India and Pakistan. The series' idea revolves around the Indo-Pak rivalry. Umera Ahmad wrote the series, which is directed by Haseeb Hassan.

 



Thaen: (SonyLiv, June 25)

 Thaen is another new OTT release on the way this week. Ganesh Vinayakan directed the film Thaen, which translates to "honey" in English. The Tamil drama film is set in Indian villages with simple backdrops. Thaen has screened at several film festivals, including the Indian Panorama 2020 festival in Goa.



Jiva: (Netflix, June 24)

 

JIVA! is the story of a wonderful but unhappy street dancer from Umlazi, Durban, who is balancing the pressures of a dead-end job, family duties, and troubled love life. The film premieres on Netflix this week, on June 24th, and promises to be a massive celebration of South African fashion, dancing, and urban culture.
